New two-way satellite services, where both the download and upstream communications occur via the satellite system, are now available from StarBand.

These high speed, two-way services can be installed anywhere in the continental United States.

PC Magazine gave the StarBand system a highly favorable review, stating: "For the most part,we are delighted with StarBand's performance. Except during the busiest part of the evening, we generally have download speeds ranging from about 400 to 600 Kbps. On some downloads, we've seen burst speeds of several megabits per second, downloading a megabyte file in under a minute."
